What is The Mexican Saddle about?
224 pages (large print) ; 22 cm Jim Barre and Waco Ibolt have been trail partners for some years when they decide to pool their resources and take the winter months off. But after celebrating, they find themselves with only $100 left. Jim then lends that to a former work-mate, Dale Clark, who leaves an old Mexican saddle with Waco as security. The next day Dale is found murdered, and the pair are asked to come to the inquest. But when the night deputy guns down the only suspect, it seems no money has been found on Dale or his alleged killer. And then, Waco runs into a ranchman who very much wants to buy Jim's saddle, which he sells for cash. But, as it turns out, what the ranchman wanted wasn¡t that particular saddle, but the Mexican one which Dale Clark had left as security .. Adult
