## Chapter points • This chapter proposes 2D and 3D fractional maps based on the Caputo difference operator. • Results show that the dynamics of the proposed fractional maps are sensitive to both initial conditions and fractional order. • Bifurcation diagrams, computation of the largest Lyapunov exponent, phase plots, and the 0-1 test method are reported, with the aim to analyze the dynamics of the system as well as to highlight the coexistence of chaotic attractors.
