EtoBox is a book discovery and reading platform that provides access to digitized books from open archives and public domain sources. We serve as an index and streaming interface.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Providing accurate information during registration
- Notifying us of any unauthorized use of your account
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content
- Attempt to bypass rate limits or access controls
- Manipulate ratings through fake accounts or coordinated voting
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from the service
5. Content
EtoBox indexes publicly available book metadata and provides streaming access. If you believe any content infringes your rights, please use the report function on the book detail page or contact us.
6. Rating System
Our rating system uses a Bayesian weighted average to prevent manipulation. Ratings require reading at least 10% of a book. We reserve the right to flag or remove suspicious ratings.
7. Service Tiers
Free tier users have standard rate limits on searches, streaming, and features like highlights per book. Premium users receive higher limits and additional features.
8. Disclaimer
EtoBox is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access to the service. Book availability may vary.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
