What is MAX17048/MAX17049 Fuel Gauge IC Overview about?

The MAX17048/MAX17049 are tiny, low power current fuel gauges for lithium-ion battery packs. They use a ModelGauge algorithm to accurately track state of charge over varying conditions without needing calibration. In low power modes, they consume as little as 4uA while still providing fuel gauge functionality. They are available in an 8-pin TDFN or 8-bump WLP package. An evaluation kit is available to help designers evaluate the part for battery monitoring applications.
