## Prednisone/teprotumumab Ulcerative colitis, muscle spasm, hearing loss and no improvement: case report A 46-year-old woman developed ulcerative colitis, muscle spasm and hearing loss during treatment with teprotumumab for thyroid eye disease. She also exhibited no improvement during treatment with prednisone for thyroid eye disease. The woman presented to the clinic after two months of diagnosis with hyperthyroid Graves' disease. She was started with methimazole by her primary care provider. Her past ocular history was significant for high myopia with astigmatism. She was a nonsmoker and occasionally consumed alcohol. Her best corrected visual acuity was 20/20 for right eye and 20/30 for left eye. Her extraocular movements were intact bilaterally, while her CAS was 2. Blood test showed thyroid stimulating immunoglobulin (TSI) level of 404 (<140% normal). She exhibited severe eyelid retraction bilaterally with the MRD1 5mm in both eyes. Hertel measurements were 22mm and 23mm in her right eye and left eye, respectively. Subsequently, she started receiving selenium and continued on daily methimazole.
