About this document

History and Rules of Badminton by anon_357870763 is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Badminton is a racquet sport that was invented in ancient Greece and Egypt and later developed in India and England. It became an official Olympic sport in 1992. It is played by two or four players on a marked court divided by a net. Players hit a lightweight shuttlecock back and forth using racquets. A match consists of best-of-three games to 15 or 11 points, depending on the event. Only the serving side can score points; rallies are lost if a player fails to return the shuttlecock or hits it out of bounds
