Cerasee, a variety of Momordica charantia, is traditionally used as tea to treat diabetes in Central America and the West Indies. A study tested concentrated aqueous extracts of cerasee on normal and diabetic mice. In normal mice, cerasee improved glucose tolerance after 8 hours.
