About this document
Microplastic Analysis in Urban Atmosphere by Ravindu is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study investigates the presence and characteristics of microplastics (MPs) in atmospheric and foliage samples in an urban environment. It presents a methodology for sampling and analyzing MPs, demonstrating that leaves can serve as passive samplers for atmospheric microplastics. Preliminary results indicate a significant correlation between atmospheric deposition and foliage retention of MPs, with higher accumulation observed in Photinia glabra compared to Hedera helix.
