Nokia is returning to the mobile phone market through a partnership with HMD Global. HMD Global has signed a deal with Nokia to develop and sell Nokia-branded phones and tablets over the next ten years. Additionally, Microsoft sold its feature phone business to HMD Global and Foxconn for $350 million, transferring the Nokia brand rights for feature phones. HMD aims to invest over $500 million to market Nokia phones and tablets globally and will be the sole licensee for all Nokia-branded mobile devices.
