This study analyzes geophysical data from the ultraslow-spreading Mohns Ridge and surrounding regions to understand its asymmetric crustal structure. The researchers calculate residual bathymetry and gravity anomalies between the western and eastern ridge flanks. They find that the western flank has elevated topography and more negative gravity anomalies, forming what they call the Vesteris Plateau.
