About this document
Monetary Policy by Verónica Pérez is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This paper constructs a model to examine the distributional effects of monetary policy choices in emerging markets. The model includes heterogeneous households that differ in their sources of income and face different financial frictions. The authors analyze how monetary policy can have significant distributional consequences even when aggregate effects are small, by using the model to jointly examine the welfare and distributional effects of monetary policy choices in emerging economies.
