A study evaluated the impact of acute antifibrinolytic therapy using E-aminocaproic acid (EACA) on rebleeding rates after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). The results showed a significant reduction in rebleeding (2.7% in EACA-treated patients vs. 11.4% in non-EACA patients) without an increase in serious side effects, although there was an 8-fold increase in deep venous thrombosis in the EACA group. The findings suggest that short-term EACA treatment may be beneficial, warranting further randomized controlled
