What is Seismic Study of Precast Concrete Bridges about?

This document describes an experimental investigation and numerical modeling of the seismic performance of a novel precast segmental concrete bridge. An experimental bridge specimen consisting of post-tensioned deck and pier segments was tested under various ground motions scaled to different seismic hazard levels. Instrumentation recorded dynamic response including accelerations and displacements. Preliminary results showed maximum accelerations were bounded and negligible permanent displacements occurred.
