The Alhamra Arts Council in Lahore, Pakistan was designed by architect Nayyar Ali Dada between 1985-1992. It started with a 1,000 seat auditorium built in 1979 and expanded with additional structures for offices, galleries, and performance spaces. Throughout the 15-year project, Dada used polygonal shapes and ingeniously arranged courtyards while maintaining the use of traditional red brick.
