About this document
Research 05 Yawn Statues by lenovo.atmosphere is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study investigates whether three-dimensional sculptural depictions of yawning can induce contagious yawning, finding that such sculptures trigger yawns at a significantly higher rate than non-yawning sculptures. The results indicate that the open-mouth feature is the primary cue for this effect, while the material of the sculptures does not influence the outcome. Additionally, higher levels of empathy correlate with increased yawning, suggesting that empathic resonance plays a role in this phenomenon.
