This study examined the risk of adolescent pregnancy among 127 Latina and black girls based on their family history of teenage births. The researchers found that girls whose sister and mother both had teenage births, or whose sister had a teenage birth, faced significantly higher risks of teenage pregnancy compared to girls with no such family history.
