What is Software-Defined Networking Insights about?

The document discusses recent trends in software defined networking (SDN) security. It describes the SDN architecture including separate infrastructure, control, and application layers connected by control plane interfaces. The most popular SDN implementation is OpenFlow, which uses a centralized controller to program forwarding rules on network switches in the infrastructure layer. While this design counters some network attacks, it also introduces new vulnerabilities that require further security research
