This study evaluates groundwater quality in Lahore, Pakistan, focusing on the impacts of urbanization and water demand using GIS techniques. It analyzes groundwater samples from 2016 for various physicochemical parameters and generates a Water Quality Index (WQI) to identify contamination zones, particularly in areas undergoing urban expansion. The findings indicate that urban growth has led to increased contaminant concentrations, especially in the southeastern regions and near Anarkali and Gulberg.
