The document contains two math word problems. The first asks the student to start with 1 block of 100 and 3 blocks of 10, adding 8 single blocks each time, writing the resulting numbers. The second asks the student to start with 2 blocks of 100, 4 blocks of 10 and 8 ones, taking away 14 each time and writing the numbers. The student is then asked to describe any patterns seen in the numbers from the first two problems.
