About this document

Pediatric Neurologic Blood Gas Quality Assessment by dr.francescabizzoco is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The study assesses the quality of nocturnal transcutaneous blood gas measurements in children with neurological conditions, analyzing 228 recordings from 64 children. Results indicate that while the quality of recordings was generally acceptable, issues such as PCO2 drift and disrupted recordings were prevalent, impacting clinical decision-making. Despite challenges, satisfactory clinical decisions were made in 91% of cases, highlighting the utility of transcutaneous monitoring in this population.
