In this note we investigate the problem of Digital 2D state observers design, also software sensors, of the famous Navier Stokes equation. At a first step we provide an explicit state space representation deduced from a finite difference based discretization approach. After, a 2D software sensor algorithm is constructed under weak hypotheses. Sufficient conditions for asymptotic convergence are established in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI).
