About this document

Mycophenolate Mofetil for Lupus Nephritis by kalp jain is a document available to read on EtoBox.

A long-term study compared mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) and cyclophosphamide followed by azathioprine (CTX-AZA) for treating diffuse proliferative lupus nephritis (DPLN) in 64 patients over a median follow-up of 63 months. Both treatments showed similar efficacy with over 90% of patients achieving remission, but MMF was associated with fewer infections and less toxicity. The study concluded that MMF combined with prednisolone is an effective continuous treatment option for DPLN in Chinese patients.
