This study evaluated the antifungal and antibiofilm potential of the hydroalcoholic extract of bark from Anadenanthera colubrina against Candida species. The extract showed antifungal activity, inhibiting the growth of planktonic Candida cells with minimum inhibitory concentration values between 19.5-39 μg/mL. It also reduced biofilm formation and disrupted biofilm structure. Additionally, the extract demonstrated low toxicity in an in vivo Galleria mellonella infection model at doses below 100mg/kg.
