This research presents the synthesis of graphene-tethered ZnO nanocomposites loaded with the anticancer drug 5-fluorouracil, aimed at enhancing drug delivery efficacy for breast cancer treatment. The study demonstrates that these nanocomposites exhibit biocompatibility and pH-responsive drug release, showing higher anticancer activity on MCF-7 cells compared to the free drug. The findings suggest potential future applications of these nanocomposites in targeted drug delivery systems for cancer therapy.
