What is Honey about?

This study evaluated the effects of 50 g/day honey on glycemic control and anthropometric measures in 53 patients with type 2 diabetes over 8 weeks. Results indicated that honey consumption led to a significant increase in HbA1c and a decrease in waist circumference compared to a control group, although fasting glucose levels did not change significantly. The findings suggest that while honey may reduce waist circumference, it may not be beneficial for glycemic control in diabetes patients.
