AL65 is an acid-based cleaner for removing oxides and corrosion from aluminum surfaces. It can be applied through dipping, spraying, or brushing. The solution is made by adding 20% AL65 to water, and is most effective between 10-30% concentration at 20-30°C for 1-5 minutes. Tanks and equipment for the solution should be plastic or PTFE. The solution needs regular analysis and replenishment to maintain effectiveness, and is discarded when cleaning is no longer working.
