About this document

Jupiter by Kaveri is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Theoretical models indicate that Jupiter would shrink if it had more mass, with its volume decreasing despite adding more matter once it reached about 1.6 times its current mass. Jupiter radiates more heat than it receives from the sun due to ongoing contraction. When first formed, Jupiter was much hotter and twice its current diameter. The Juno mission found Jupiter has a very diffuse core mixed into its mantle, possibly due to a large impact early in its formation that disrupted a originally solid core.
