About this document
Ring Ultramicroelectrodes in Electrochemistry by Joël Tromp is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This article presents a novel approach to current-blockade impact electrochemistry using microfabricated ring ultramicroelectrodes (UMEs) to improve the detection of insulating particles. The ring design minimizes the effects of inhomogeneous mediator flux, resulting in a narrower distribution of response amplitudes and enhanced accuracy in particle size measurements. Experimental results demonstrate that the ring UMEs outperform conventional disk UMEs in terms of signal consistency and sensitivity.
