Can I read Disabling MPLS TTL Propagation on EtoBox?
Disabling MPLS TTL Propagation by Aditya Nandwani is a document available to read on EtoBox.
What is Disabling MPLS TTL Propagation about?
This document discusses disabling MPLS TTL propagation. By default, MPLS routers copy the TTL from the IP packet header into the MPLS label, propagating the TTL. This means traceroute will list every hop in an MPLS path. Disabling MPLS TTL propagation configures the MPLS TTL independently from the IP TTL. With propagation disabled, traceroute will only list the ingress and egress routers, skipping internal MPLS hops. The no mpls ip propagate-ttl command applies this change globally on all routers in an MPLS
