This document describes the development of a Teacher Competence Questionnaire (TCQ) in Indonesia. The authors developed the TCQ to address the need for a culturally sensitive instrument to evaluate teacher competence in Indonesia. They administered the TCQ to high school students in Jakarta and surrounding areas to test its validity and reliability. The results showed that the TCQ is a valid and reliable tool for measuring teacher competence in the Indonesian context.
