About this document
Analysis of Rapid Rock Slope Failures by Herry Dinarsyah Yudi is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This report analyzes 51 cases of rapid natural rock slope failures with movement rates over 1.8m/hour. Most failures involved volumes of 1-100 million cubic meters. The majority were classified as translational slides or internally sheared compound slides in sedimentary rock, particularly carbonate. More than half showed glacial influence. Compound slides appeared more susceptible to earthquake triggering, while translational slides responded more to rainfall. Cracking, rockfalls, and noise preceded failure
