- An online survey was conducted from February to April 2015 with 281 Tunisian adults to assess knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to food waste. - The survey found that about half of respondents declare throwing away food. The most wasted foods are fruits, vegetables, cereals, and bakery products. - 37% of respondents throw away at least 250g of still edible food per week. Most respondents understand food labels but more awareness is still needed to reduce food waste in Tunisia.
