What is Stamp Duty Remission about?
The Government of Rajasthan has issued a notification to remit stamp duty on registered mortgages executed by khatedar tenants for loans to set up micro or small industrial units and agro-processing units on their own khatedari land. This decision is made under the Rajasthan Stamp Act, 1998, in the public interest. The notification is effective as of October 26, 2020.
