About this document
Neonatal Gastrointestinal Perforations Study by Rieza Nurdinsyah is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This retrospective study analyzes perforations of the gastrointestinal tract in neonates, excluding those caused by necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), over three years at a tertiary care center. Out of 20 neonates, 8 had perforations due to non-NEC related causes, primarily spontaneous perforations and mechanical obstructions, with a better outcome compared to NEC cases. The study concludes that spontaneous and mechanically obstructed perforations have a more favorable prognosis than those associated with NEC
