This study investigates repetitive behaviors in patients with behavioral variant frontotemporal dementia (bvFTD) and compares them to compulsions seen in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Findings indicate that repetitive behaviors in bvFTD, such as stereotypies of speech and hoarding, are more aligned with impulsive actions rather than compulsive behaviors, as they lack the anxiety and obsessional ideation typical of OCD.
