Can I read Effect of neutron spectrum on transmutant accumulation in ITER structural materials on EtoBox?
Effect of neutron spectrum on transmutant accumulation in ITER structural materials by A.V. Karasiov; S.A. Fabritsiev is a Materials Science article available to read on EtoBox.
What is Effect of neutron spectrum on transmutant accumulation in ITER structural materials about?
A primary consideration in assessing the ITER materials life time is a fusion-fission correlation, as a considerable difference exists in the dpa accumulation rate and transmutants in ITER, during irradiation by a considerably harder spectrum in research reactors. The presented correlation dependencies between the irradiation site related to the core center, the neutron spectrum, the location of sample in the channel and transmutant accumulation rate make it possible to work out recommendations on the selection of possible sample irradiation conditions, as applied to the ITER conditions. The studies performed allow the conclusion that a correct use of fission reactor capabilities makes it possible to satisfactory simulate the ITER irradiation conditions.
