This study evaluates the castability, ceramometal bonding resistance, and hardness of Ni-Cr alloys with and without beryllium (Be). Results indicate that the presence of Be is not necessary for optimal castability and bonding resistance, as Be-free alloys performed comparably. The findings suggest that while Ni-Cr alloys are commonly used in dental applications, their safety and performance must be carefully assessed due to potential pathogenic risks.
