This study evaluates the durability of a geopolymer made from municipal solid waste incineration fly ash and other materials when exposed to sulfuric acid. The results indicate that this geopolymer exhibits higher acid resistance and lower heavy metal leaching compared to ordinary Portland cement, although its compressive strength decreases after prolonged exposure. These findings suggest that the geopolymer could be a viable alternative for solidifying hazardous waste and reducing environmental risks.
