Alloy 825 is a nickel-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum and copper. It has excellent resistance to reducing and oxidizing acids, stress corrosion cracking, and localized attacks like pitting and crevice corrosion. Alloy 825 is especially resistant to sulfuric and phosphoric acids and offers outstanding performance in seawater. It is commonly used in applications in the chemical processing, marine, and pollution control industries including heat exchangers, piping, valves, tanks, and vessels.
