What is Cloud-Free Snow Cover and SWE Products about?

This article discusses a method developed to create daily cloud-free snow cover and snow water equivalent products at a 500 m resolution using Terra–Aqua MODIS and Aqua AMSR-E measurements. The method was tested in Alaska and showed significant improvements in classification accuracy and reduction in cloud cover compared to existing products. The results indicate that the new products can enhance monitoring and modeling of snow-related hydrological processes.
