Erratum: Threshold of primordial black hole formation in nonspherical collapse [Phys. Rev. D 102 , 043526 (2020)] by Chul-Moon Yoo; Tomohiro Harada; Hirotada Okawa is a Physics and Astronomy article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Erratum: Threshold of primordial black hole formation in nonspherical collapse [Phys. Rev. D 102 , 043526 (2020)] about?

All the specific values of χ 2 given in Sec. IVB, including Fig. 5 and the captions for Figs. 6-8, should be multiplied by 0.1. Therefore our result in the third sentence in Sec. IVB should be altered to the following: we find a bouncing behavior for χ 2 ≤ -0.07 or χ 2 ≥ 0.09. According to this correction, the effect of ellipticity should be considered to be more significant compared to that suggested in the original text. However, the value of χ 2 ∼ 0.1 gives only ∼1% difference in the threshold value of the amplitude of the curvature perturbation μ, and we typically have jχ 2 j ≪ 1 for PBH formation in the radiation dominated universe. Therefore, despite this correction, we can still conclude that the effect of ellipticity on the threshold of PBH formation is highly limited in standard situations for PBH formation in the radiation-dominated universe.
