Subweir Impact on Downstream Scouring by Hardik Jmc is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This document summarizes a study on the influence of installing sub-weirs (structures that raise the water level) downstream of dams on scouring. The study used a 1:30 scale physical model of the Bakalan Dam in Malang, Indonesia. It tested different sub-weir heights, placements, and discharges to determine the minimum scour depth. The results showed that for discharges from 6-9 liters/second, sub-weirs 60-75 cm from the dam and 5 cm high reduced scouring the most. Higher discharges were not significantly im
