What is Drainage Pipeline Relining Methods about?

Damaged or corroded drainage pipelines are often repaired through relining. There are two main types of liners used by the Drainage Services Department: cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) and spirally-wound liners. CIPP involves inserting a soft fabric tube into the pipeline and expanding it against the wall using hot water or steam. Spirally-wound liners use a winding machine to helically wind a PVC strip inside the pipeline to form a continuous liner between manholes.
