S COVID-19-vaccine/nivolumab Mucous membrane pemphigoid/bullous pemphigoid: case report A female patient [age at the time of reaction onset not stated] was described, who developed mucous membrane pemphigoid (MMP)/bullous pemphigoid (BP) during treatment with nivolumab for melanoma and immunisation against COVID-19 infection with COVID-19 vaccine.The female patient, who had been diagnosed with melanoma, started receiving nivolumab [dosage and route not stated]. She presented with a mucocutaneous disease that showed stubborn desquamative gingivitis and widespread itchy urticarial and bullous cutaneous lesions. She developed oral lesions after receiving nivolumab, and her cutaneous lesions occurred after immunisation against COVID-19 infection with the third dose of COVID-19 vaccine [mRNA vaccine for COVID-19]. The multiplex ELISA showed a grossly elevated level of anti-BP180 NC16A antibodies. Her stubborn desquamative gingivitis suggested the diagnosis of mucous membrane pemphigoid (MMP), whereas widespread cutaneous lesions, suggested bullous pemphigoid (BP).
