The Singapore Civil Defence Force is informing various organizations of amendments made to the Fire Code regarding the sharing of kitchen exhaust systems for food and beverage outlets. The amendments allow for the sharing of exhaust systems for food courts, restaurants, and smaller F&B outlets under certain conditions, including that the outlets be in close proximity, have a common exhaust fan and ductwork, and provisions for regular cleaning and maintenance. The amendments are effective immediately.
