It has established a basmati rice farming project in Sudan in partnership with state and federal governments. The project started with 400 acres in 2010 and expanded to 500 more acres in 2016. Crown imports the superior Super Kernel variety of basmati rice from Pakistan and has succeeded in developing and modifying it to grow in Sudan.
