We report hyperandrogenism with severe acne, hirsutism and alopecia in a set of non-obese triplet sisters presenting at an early age. Interestingly, one of the triplets had hyperthyroidism and had signifi cantly lower androgen level as well as hirsutism compared to her sisters. Treatment of hyperthyroidism with radioiodine ablation led to signifi cant elevation of androgen levels and worsening of hirsutism suggesting that hyperthyroidism masks the biochemical and clinical expression of hyperandrogenism in susceptible females.
