Cementation Skanska has developed a precast concrete capping beam system for bored pile walls that improves pile alignment and position tolerance. Precast concrete units with holes corresponding to pile spacing are placed in a trench and used to guide pile installation. The units can then either be removed, leaving piles at cut-off for further construction, or left in place to form the final capping beam. This system eliminates breaking down piles and allows excavation after piling is complete.
