The Military Engineer Services (MES) is celebrating its 96th anniversary on September 26th. MES is one of the oldest and largest government infrastructure agencies, handling construction projects for the armed forces as well as sophisticated projects like airfields and dockyards. Several initiatives are underway to empower MES executives and adopt new construction techniques and standards. MES is also undertaking energy conservation efforts such as solar power projects and implementing green building norms
