What is Jefferson County Sick Leave Conversion Rules about?
Jefferson County employees who have completed 12 months of continuous service may convert up to 40 hours of accumulated sick leave to vacation leave annually. To do so, employees must have a minimum of 160 hours of sick leave accumulated and submit a conversion form during an established election period. The conversion decreases sick leave and increases vacation leave balances by the same amount without exceeding the 320 hour vacation carryover limit. All vacation including converted hours must be approved
